Eavesdropping Countermeasures Sweeps
Uncovering eavesdropping devices is not a job for a local spy shop, and it cannot be done by waving a magic "wand" around a room. It requires a thorough understanding of the scope of the threat as well as numerous electronic tests and a thorough physical search of the target area.
The technical procedures are extensive. They include radio spectrum analysis, telephone line analysis, and numerous tests using various types of specialized equipment. When we perform an inspection at your site, we consider all of the following.
Radio signals from low frequency carrier current devices up to microwave and lightwaves are searched and demodulated.
Telephone and office equipment are inspected for any modifications that could be used for eavesdropping.
Telephone lines within the premises as well as extending out to the phone company central office are inspected and analyzed using sophisticated time domain reflectometry (TDR) equipment.
Telephone equipment closets and connecting blocks are examined.
A non-
Transmitters or covert video cameras can be detected even if they are behind walls or ceilings.
All possibilities are considered.
We are not only looking for electronic devices, though. Often there is a loss of information through more obscure methods or where there may be a lapse in security procedures. A full report will detail our findings as well as cover any areas of security where we find a weakness or need for improvement.

Real Time
Monitoring
Often, there is a concern that information being discussed at corporate meetings or conferences might be transmitted directly from the meeting via devices brought in with a participant. During the meeting, radio frequency analysis can be performed in a nearby room or office to determine if a signal of any kind is coming from the meeting room. A full sweep of the room, telephones, audio / visual equipment, etc. prior to the meeting would also be appropriate in such cases.

Reports
Upon completion of a sweep, a verbal report is given to designated personnel on site, and a detailed confidential report will provided in writing within seven to ten days.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to providing discreet, professional, quality services. All security matters are considered highly confidential. In addition to countermeasures sweeps, we also offer equipment and training for clients who wish to develop their own countermeasures capability.
For more information, call our toll free number or contact us by email.
When you contact us for consultation, please do NOT call from a phone or a location that is considered suspicious!
A cost estimate for sweeps can be provided if general information is available (such as the number of telephone sets and phone lines, number and size of rooms to be swept, etc.) Initial consultation is offered at no charge. We are usually available on fairly short notice but prefer at least one week advance notice. Our teams are available for international travel to most countries with proper preparation.
Due to the recent terrorist threats, air travel with sophisticated electronic equipment has become increasingly difficult and expensive. We are available to travel easily to locations within one day's drive time, including Virginia and Washington DC and all northeastern United States.
Please contact us for more information or with any other questions you may have.
Note: we will not accept any job that threatens the well being of the United States of America or its laws.
